fleeting questions?

3 Feb

How do you deal with a million memories that refuse to go away? Memories that sear through your mind, red hot, awakening every nerve, every repressed emotion.

How do you look someone in the eye, your heart breaking, and tell them you feel their pain, knowing well that nothing you have gone through, better or worse, it can never compare to how they feel?

How do you face another day, when all you ache for is the sweet sleep of oblivion? When in the end, all that matters is nothing?

How do you face your anger? Your pain? Your helplessness? Your frustration?

How do you turn around and walk away from walking away? When your only hope is to know that somehow, someday it will make sense?

And why doesn’t it ever make sense, when you most desperately need it to? When your heart yearns for a semblance of redemption?

Why do we exist in the first place, if our purpose is simply to move on? What then becomes our purpose in the here, and in the now?

What is life?

And why is it so fleeting?

RIP Brenda Nsangi.

Offtopic:

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die!

i know this morning i told you i was going to get up today and do those things i keep saying i will do, mostly in honor of Brenda, and how life can suddenly slip through our fingers, but i haven’t. i’m just so sad! all these bad feelings rising up again and refusing to go down so here i am my dear friend, paralyzed again.
i must call my friend but what words of comfort will i have for her? we’ll probably just end up crying and asking why? why? why? why?…
when you find answers to those questions, let me know.

I move those lousy thoughts into another place and move on. The trick is to catch them early before they acquire power.

    Surely, the poem speaks alot.
Life can be so short!! Being young should not blind us to live less of our lives. You did this so well.
Your memories will remain alive with us.
Even with death, you still have the love of God. Nothing can ever separate anyone from that love.
    Brenda RIP.

Since he claims on the day Jesus promised to come for his people, he will be there coz thats what the bible says. Those who die in him will raise up and meet him even before those who will be alive but leaving in Him.
