Hey, Solomon.
I hate to be a marketeer, but here’s some news for you: you can also tweet when you have no internet connection by sending SMS to UTL (and UTL forwards it to your Twitter account). Now, you can do that by that txt style of yours. However, this one also allows you to receive your Twitter feed on phone by SMS. ;o)
Send ‘tweetme’ to 2299, and you’ll get the instructions to sign up. Sorry for hijacking this, but it is pertinent.
) (Most phones don’t do 3G. Most Ugandans don’t want to pay to send and receive tweets. Et cetera.)

Thanks for the hijack. Trying to signup but network issues holding me up. Not seeing the messages from your app to my twitter.

@27 send me a press release, I’ll be happy to post this on Appfrica.net to help get the word out

Solie, I think the message got eaten by the Twitter Fail Whale.
Please give it one more shot. I’ve put something to detect such a thing and respond more-accurately to the request.
Thanks, Solomon.
@Appfrica: John, the system isn’t yet live, and this use of it is not really official. When the press release comes out, you’ll be the first to know.

No problem, should I post it anyways? I don’t want people to crash your servers or anything.

I went a head and tweeted it and blogged it. Hopefully it helps get the news out.
